Purpose of the job
- Work on the development and implementation of advanced products for our portfolio, in close collaboration with R&D project managers, business development managers, product & application managers, strategy managers and lab managers within the Hydrogen team.
- Need to work from Belgium, in close contact with the hydrogen team and laboratory
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new products in our portfolio for electrochemical systems such as PEM & AEM electrolyzers, based on prioritized actions to ensure milestones of the project will be achieved.
- Build-up knowledge on water electrolysis, and communicate within the hydrogen team.
- Build-up external knowledge network, and collaboration with third-parties (universities, research institutes) and customers.
- Work in close contact with the legal team to define IP strategy on new product development, and follow-up on patents from the competition.
- Collaborate closely with product & application managers and business managers to identify VOC and align the product development accordingly. Identify potential USP of new product in development.
- Collaborate closely with lab managers for the internal evaluation and characterization of new products in development.
Skills and competencies
- PhD degree in electrocatalysis / electrochemistry / material science / material engineering or any relevant field for the application
- Understanding of the general electrochemical principles.
- Experience with evaluation catalysts and PTL coatings for electrochemical cells required.
- Sound understanding of interface optimisation between electrolyser components.
- Knowledge on PTL based component manufacturing a plus.
