- Act in the capacity of the employer´s representative and be responsible for the end-to-end project management and delivery.
- The role will be part of the local Berlin PM team and will be allocated to one of the Berlin projects.
- The role will ensure the delivery of the portfolio in Berlin, Germany
- Ensuring overall project success.
Duties and Responsibilities
The role includes but is not limited to the following:
- Act as a construction project manager as part of the employer’s representative team and be responsible for the end-to-end construction delivery of our Berlin projects
- Assist with the management of the project with all involved stakeholders during the construction phase
- Managing and tracking construction milestones and progress reporting
- Review vendor scope of work with design teams and review of site and building/project plans
- Provide Vendor oversight and performance management to deliver assigned projects
- Health and Safety leadership of the works across the project
- Participate in the preparation, submission and tracking of all project spend in line with the approved business case capex.
- Participate in project change control on a weekly basis through triage and then change control approval, track project contingency spend.
- Provide Project Management support on any additional works and other sites where necessary
- Participate in the preparation and delivery of regular project progress reporting to VP Design & Build EMEA
Person Specification
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering, construction project management or construction management
- 2-3 years’ minimum experience in data centre project construction delivery with hyperscale data centre operators, lease providers or similar
- Design and Build contract strategy experience
- Client or Contractor side Data centre construction management experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, project, and deadline simultaneously.
- The role is a hybrid working approach based on VIRTUS working principles, meaning the expectation is the role will be a blend of site based attendance in Berlin, working in person. Attend meetings at the business offices and on the Datacentre construction site in Berlin as required to manage internal and external stakeholders in order to meet project design and construction milestones.

- Expert in Microsoft Office applications (e. g. Outlook, Excel, MS-Project, Primavera P6)
- Working and emerging knowledge in Project Management techniques and critical path sequencing.
- Knowledge of MEP installations
- Knowledge of supply chain management and construction processes
